• Planning: Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, and participating in the tender and contract bid process
• Organization: Coordinating labor resources, materials, plant, and equipment
• Direction: Working with architects, engineers, and other technical and trade professionals
• Control: Negotiating with building owners, property developers, and subcontractors
• Coordination: Ensuring projects adhere to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost, and safety
